Our Goal
The El Segundo Unified School District is ranked ninth among the 50 unified school districts in Los Angeles County with the goal of becoming one of the top five districts by 2009. Reaching this goal will ensure our children receive an education that provides them with the greatest number of options as they graduate from high school, compete for college admission, and enter the work force.
Overcoming the public funding shortfall
California ranked 33rd in the nation for expenditures for public (K-12) schools per average daily attendance in the 2003 –2004 school year. State budget cuts over the last few years have exacerbated the funding deficit in El Segundo schools. Your contributions help alleviate this shortfall and provide for much needed educational resources.
Quality of education/quality of life
It is a well known fact that communities offering quality public education are viewed as more desirable places to live. A well-educated population often translates into higher property values, reputable services, and an enhanced quality of life.

We need your help to achieve our goal of becoming one of the top five school districts in Los Angeles County by 2009. The El Segundo Educational Foundation underwrites special projects and programs that would not otherwise become a reality. We work hand-in-hand with the El Segundo Unified School District to target programs that need additional funding to help provide the best education possible to all of the children in El Segundo.
