Welcome to the El
Segundo Educational Foundation’s web site.
As you peruse these pages you will learn about the
Foundation and how YOU can help support the education
of the children of El Segundo by attending Foundation
events, becoming a member of the Superintendent’s
Roundtable, joining as a Corporate Partner, volunteering,
and/or making a donation.
Through the generous
donations and support provided by individuals, families,
businesses, and corporations, the El Segundo Educational
Foundation has granted more than $2.75 million to
the El Segundo Unified School District. These grants
have been used to support and enhance technology,
science, reading, math, and arts education at all
grade levels.
The El Segundo Unified School District is ranked ninth among the 50 unified school districts in Los Angeles County. We believe this accomplishment is due, in part, to the interest and support of our community through the Educational Foundation.
Thank you for your support
and we look forward to your involvement in the 2008–2009
school year.

The
El Segundo Educational Foundation (ESEF) is pledging to grant $450,000 to the El
Segundo Unified School District (ESUSD) during the
2008-2009 academic year.
The ESEF’s 2008-2009 Fostering Excellence
in Education campaign will invest $450,000
in programs that would not be possible without the
supplemental grant. Similar to the last campaign,
this grant is earmarked for technology, writing,
AVID, MyAccess, and music programs for the District’s
3,200 students. This year funding initiatives once again will allocate funds for elementary physical
education and a robotics program.
